Nev Nichols is an experienced senior executive, board advisor, and engineer with a strong track record leading complex infrastructure and service-based organisations across Australia and internationally.

He has held executive roles in operations, engineering, business transformation, and strategic growth, known for his practical leadership, commercial focus, and ability to deliver results in complex environments.

As a Non-Executive Director of Pure Environment, Nev brings an independent, commercially grounded perspective, with a focus on governance, operational excellence, and sustainable growth.

Mat has 15+ years' experience in environmental planning and infrastructure delivery across rail, road, and Defence projects. He mentors teams, builds strong industry relationships, and ensures compliance through a collaborative, results-driven approach.

Vany has over 15 years of experience in the sustainability field, working with private developers, designers, and government officers to influence decision-making and achieve sustainability outcomes for buildings, precincts, and infrastructure.

She has a proven track record of leading and managing high-performance teams, as well as collaborating and negotiating with multi-disciplinary teams. She is also passionate about driving the uptake of renewable energy and solar access, having initiated and led several research and development projects in this area. 

Paige is an experienced QSE Advisor with demonstrated effectiveness in the implementation, management, and improvement of company quality, safety, environmental, and sustainability management systems across both project and corporate environments.

She has extensive working knowledge of legislation, standards, and sustainability practices, particularly within the infrastructure sector.

Paige has successfully worked on infrastructure sustainability initiatives, including the preparation and management of Credit Summary Forms, ensuring projects meet or exceed industry sustainability benchmarks. Her experience reflects industry best practices and a commitment to sustainable development.

Haroon Akhter is a Senior Sustainability Consultant based in Perth, bringing over 17 years of experience delivering sustainability outcomes across major infrastructure, transport, and built environment projects in Australia and internationally.

He specialises in sustainability strategy, decarbonisation, climate risk, and the delivery of Infrastructure Sustainability and Green Star ratings across design, construction, and operational phases. Haroon has worked closely with government agencies, contractors, and consultants to translate ambitious sustainability goals into practical, measurable outcomes.

Passionate about driving meaningful change, Haroon supports clients to push sustainability boundaries while delivering resilient, low-carbon infrastructure that creates lasting value.

Karli has over 15 years local and international experience in the environment and sustainability sectors. A dedicated Advisor with experience in overseeing all phases of multimillion dollar corporate, construction, operations & maintenance management systems.

Karli is a process driven ensuring that systems, processes, and technology are used to its full potential across all areas of management.

Boris Kramar is a Life Cycle Assessment Consultant specialising in resource modelling, quantitative analysis and lifecycle assessment. At Pure Environment, he develops models to assess energy consumption, water use and carbon emissions, translating complex project data into robust, client-ready outputs.

A chemist by training, Boris has research experience spanning environmental chemistry, radiochemistry, energy-conversion materials and nuclear waste management. He has contributed to 10 peer-reviewed publications and presented his research internationally.

Boris holds a PhD in Chemistry from Northwestern University, a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a Certificate in Management for Scientists and Engineers from the Kellogg School of Management.

Grace is a Sustainability Consultant with experience delivering sustainability assessments, ESG frameworks and operational improvement programs. She has undertaken audits across energy, water, waste, transport and supply chains, translating findings into practical implementation roadmaps designed to reduce carbon emissions, plastic use and waste.

Her experience also includes developing ESG governance policies, sustainable procurement practices, supplier assessments and responsible sourcing strategies.  Through her previous experience in the sustainable fashion sector, Grace developed strong capabilities in ethical supply chains, supplier due diligence, compliance and sustainability risk management.

Grace brings a practical and commercially considered approach to sustainability, helping organisations turn environmental and social commitments into achievable actions.
